The more of the books in the series I read, the more I fall in love with them. My biggest mistake was to read them out of order. Although for the sake of the individual story you can do that, I missed out on the nuances of the character interactions. There are many set-ups in one book that are satisfyingly resolved in other books and are so artfully woven that, like in life, show that some problems are not magically fixed, but take lots of hard work, faith, hope and help from unlikely sources. These are a masterfully intricate tapestry of stories in which you really feel part of the family. I finally see what the fuss is about.
All that to say, I really enjoyed this book and it has several plot details that are important for the next several books.
